Number VIII “Tulip”

Feathered Pink Tulip

My favourite flower the humble tulip. I love how the vibrant colours of the tulip bring us out of the greyer colder days of winter and into the warming colourful days of spring.

This tulip was of the feathered variety with variagated edges to its petals. It was so vibrant and pink, using the black background helps to convey this intense colour. Nature working at is best.

Such diverse colours…

I hope one day to visit the fields of Holland during tulip season, there is just such an array of incredible colours that only nature can produce. I am going to study this beautiful bulb more.
